#Islamabad just had a full rainy day today and made me think of how nowadays most devices have an ingress protection (IP) rating which makes them water and dust resistant. The issue is that this is just a standard maintained and does not mean that your devices are free of water damage, loose seals and cracks are still a thing to worry about which renders this rating worthless.
So even though your devices are better protected always be sure to keep them dry regardless and consider the IP rating as a precautionary measure not a guaranteed safety.
Please note that most manufactures don’t offer warranty for goods damaged due to liquids. So goodluck and stay safe in heavy rain season.
